Post Cool evolution store in Soho!

Hello everyone!

Well I'm back from my very quick trip to the Big Apple. One of my favorite adventures. . . finding a cool store called Evolution in SoHo. You can buy all sorts of hominid skulls there (I saw the skull display and immediatedly thought of Oolon). Plus you can buy all sorts of fossil casts, and other assorted dead animals. Very cool!

scigirl

P.S. Anyone that hasn't been to NYC yet - shame on you! Get moving and visit, it's a wonderful city!

Hey Scigirl

No, I haven't visited NYC before, but someday I will. I have to get over my stereotypical view of NY as an overcrowded, traffic-jammed city with mobsters running around with tommy guns.

The evolution store sounds cool. Did they have the Darwin fish car decoration? When I get a car someday, I'll have to get one of those.

P.S. I forgot to mention in my email -- I don't think my evangelical friend seemed interested in getting involved in the forum. I gave him the URL though, so he may be lurking at least.

For anyone who ever feels the need to purchase a skull and can't make it to NYC, check out Skulls Unlimited.

I'm not quite sure how to take that...

I'd love to visit, but with a 3-year-old at home it's going to be enough trouble just gettnig the 70 miles to London for the Natural History Museum's dino-bird exhibition (all sorts of feathered and furcula'd fossils from China, on a, erm, flying visit).

Cheers, Oolon

I haven't had the chance to visit NYC when I came to visit america for a month. Next time I go to the states I might drop by the Evolution Store. Sounds like a nice place. I was able to visit a Discovery Channel store in Myrtle Beach, S Carolina, though. Even bought the Evolution DVD box set. Btw, here's the site url for the Evolution Store in NYC: http://www.theevolutionstore.com/
