Actually it’s a live export trade deal. We send Xian Fundies and they make payment with New Age Wackos. It was 2.3 Wackos to the Fundy until the global downturn. Since then our exchange rate’s improved somewhat but those bastards in NAFTA are trying to reduce quarantine restrictions on the Fundies. Seems everyone's worried about an outbreak of Foot-in-mouth.

AAAAAHHH

Bloody just came in on it as they were talking about altering the gene on a brine shrimp to make it only produce 3 legs, and Gish said he'd only accept it if they were shown to flourish out in the wild. (pretty much near the end)

So very irritating (Thoguht it was at 8:30 instead of 8:00)

Question

Hey, isn't Answers in Genesis ministry based in Australia? You know, Ham, Sarfiti et al?

please don't remind me of this stuff

the Uni I'm wanting to get into eventually is the same one Ken Ham (I think) Went to.

So very embarrassing.

On the other hand, it's like fosters... we might make it (we might, not sure what the situation with them is) but we sure as hell don't drink it.

Hmmmm....what DO you blokes drink? While in college, I use to enjoy Steinlager from New Zealand myself. The only beer with the aroma of hemp.

I mainly drink XXXX Bitter now.

That's when I drink at all (Never got to like the taste, and it's so much cheaper to simply get ripped on a 25 bag)

Angry

&lt;scream&gt; Argh &lt;/scream&gt;

I thought things like this only happened in the movies - I missed it! Got home late from work, cooked a nice meal, and by the time it was all eaten and cleared up, it was 8:40. I completely lost track of the time.

I should have set the VCR. I am, one could say, rather effing annoyed at myself. How's the irony, though? Here I was, starting a thread to alert people to it, and then forgot to watch it myself.

So, did anyone see it in its entirety? Was it any good?

Cheers,
Prax

As for beer, it's gotta be Cascade Pale Ale. God drinks Pale Ale.

MOJO-JOJO: It largely depends on which state/territory your in, since all of them have their own major breweries. Here's a rough guide to the most common on a state by state basis:

Victoria - Victoria Bitter

Queensland - XXXX

Tasmania - Cascade

South Australia - Cooper's

Western Australia - Not sure on this one any more, it used to be Swan Lager (IIRC) but I dunno if that exists anymore.

New South Wales/ACT - Toohey's (?).

I don't know what they mainly drink in NT however.

All the major breweries make numerous brands though and you can pretty much get them everywhere. So you'll get people in Qld drinking Vic bitter, Victorians drinking Cooper's, etc.

Also, on the whole it seems to me that when it comes to beers, Australians seem to largely prefer bitters, followed by ales. Draughts and lagers seem to be the least popular.

Oh yeah, one last thing. Fosters Lager is a joke that the rest of the world hasn't gotten yet. It's cats piss. Not only don't I know anyone who drinks it, you'd be hard pressed to find a pub anywhere round here that has it on tap.

Here’s one I’d never heard of. Has anyone tried <a href="http://www.australianbeers.com/beers/piss/piss.htm" target="_blank">Piss Beer</a> or <a href="http://www.australianbeers.com/beers/piss_weak/piss_weak.htm" target="_blank">Piss Weak Beer</a> ?

(the rest of the site only lists sponsor's beers though AFAICS.)

I drink sake, gin, cointreau and red wine. Beer is just too weak for my taste. So call me unaustralian.

Oi! oi! oi!
