Post Red calf brings about apocalypse

<a href="http://www.nationalreview.com/dreher/dreher041102.asp" target="_blank">Red Heifer Days</a>

I don't know what to say - other than 'read this' and let me know what you think.

What's really scary is that the three major world religions see this (and other 'signs') as proof that the world is coming to an end.

All because of a genetically engineered cow <img src="graemlins/banghead.gif" border="0" alt="[Bang Head]" /> .

Got to apologize for the moron Texans with way too much money and too little brains involved in this scheme.

Time to get a fifth column in the organization, add a little bleach to the calf's shampoo, feed it a nice hunk of lobster, etc.

Any volunteers?

Oh that's just dandy. A stupid red cow is born and all these crack heads are going to have a war over it. Fantastic.

Its unfortunate that we can't transport all these wackjobs to another world where they can blow each other up to thier heart's content.

It’s too bad that they don’t believe that the red heifer means world peace and the cessation of violence in the Middle East, but then again some rich Texas corporation wouldn’t be investing money to manipulate the outcome for peaceful purposes! See – no Gods necessary, just stupid people willing to be manipulated and partake in violence so they can prove their version of God is right. Man will do just fine on his own bringing about the “Apocalypse” , even if the red heifer were a portended sign of peace from God!

This reminds me of a clandestine report of Mormon activities in 1978.
The investigator, relates the report of an attorney Doug Wallace on a conference held by the "Latter Day Saints Freedom Foundation" on "Mormon Church Infiltration of Government Agencies Suspected of Sequestering Uranium Ore Outside the United States." The report relates that the Mormon Church illegally exported tons of uranium from Washington State and Utah to Australia, evidently in the late '50s. "It is of no small moment that the LDS has infiltrated the CIA and the FBI, and that the special interests of the church have been handled by those church members who had the agencies of gov't to assist them in the conspiracy."

The report continues, "The objective of the Mormon conspiracy was to transport the ore beyond the control of the federal gov't. The avowed purpose of the church in its secret political conquest Council of Fifty, was to obtain nuclear capability for future use when it would attempt to obtain world conquest and single world government." The document further implicates Lyndon Johnson in the shipment of 10 million tons of ore to Australia. It also says, "The nuclear capability of Israel has resulted from this conspiracy, which provided for the highjacking of 200 tons of ore in 1968. The rumor was widespread in the knowledgeable circles of Salt Lake City that the Mormon Church had arranged to assist Israel in bringing off Armageddon."

There is no shortage of doomsday prophets, and those who see conspiracies at every turn.
Most reasonable people laugh at these reports.
But we should recognize that the religious fervor
of extremeists can and do manifest themselves
in acts of terrorism the world over.
