Yeah I got the same vibes from him too. Although he seems reasonable, he apparently has lost control of the asylum.

My, what an interesting thread.

I find it rather odd that I haven't even been banned yet. Most curious. Am I the fortunate atheist? You decide.

-No fundies at my door
-No Xian zealots wielding considerable political power
-No religion in my face at school (with the minor exception of an optional prayer thing for one year at my rural elementary school)
-1211 caustic posts at CF and all I get is a final warning. I can't even argue with that. Then again, it may have something to do with my unwillingness to put forth absolutes.

In the defence of CF... for a Christian site I'd say it was pretty decent. At the very least, there's not so much of a worry of getting too big for one's britches when the 'in' crowd is constantly snapping at my heels... which is sorta why I haven't joined here earlier. Oh well.

If any of you are interested in a Christian site that isn't filled with mods b****ing at you, check you www.faithforum.org/challenge The only catch is that they have to fully moderate all new members because they are too stupid to have a few people just moderate the individual forums like every other site in the world does.

Just to tell you what a moron I am, I didn't even clue in to the "babies" avatar until I read this thread. It was just two babies holding hands with the title "Since Birth....".

Did they ask you to remove the avatar and you didn't comply? Or did they just unilaterally decide to ban you?

As for removing every post of a banned person, I have to say that is deeply disturbing. Individual posts need to stnd and fall on their own merits. If a post is objectional, then fine, edit or remove it. But if a post is not objectionable, it should stand - even if a person eventually gets banned.

Removing all the posts of a banned person degrades the threads they were participating in (sometimes to the point where the thread becomes unitelligible).

It also has a chilling effect. Why should people spend hours on thoughtful posts when one day they may all just disappear on a whim?

It's not good.

No warning, nope didn't ask, if they had I would have taken it down, I wouldn't have been happy about it, but I would have, but no they never asked.
