Pat Robertson calls for "retirement" of Justices
VIRGINIA BEACH, Virginia (AP) -- Religious broadcaster Pat Robertson urged his nationwide audience Monday to pray for God to remove three justices from the Supreme Court so they could be replaced by conservatives.
"We ask for miracles in regard to the Supreme Court," Robertson said on the Christian Broadcasting Network's "The 700 Club." Robertson has launched a 21-day "prayer offensive" directed at the Supreme Court in the wake of its 6-3 June vote that decriminalized sodomy. Robertson said in a letter on the CBN Web site that the ruling "has opened the door to homosexual marriage, bigamy, legalized prostitution and even incest." The same letter targets three justices in particular: "One justice is 83-years-old, another has cancer and another has a heart condition. Would it not be possible for God to put it in the minds of these three judges that the time has come to retire?" Judging from the descriptions, Robertson was referring to Justice John Paul Stevens, who was born in 1920, and Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, who had colon cancer surgery in 1999. The identity of the third justice was unclear. |

Well, we all know that god listens to him...perhaps he's praying that god will smite them. That's a more effective way to cause a vacancy...

I think it's time for 'ole Pat to step down. I suspect all those years of prayer and reading the bible have softened his brain.

Ugh, so much for love.
I don't understand why they object to homosexual unions. It doesn't directly violate their relgious teachings to allow others to form such unions, does it? |

Do you really believe that Pat&Co are only worried about what they themselves do with their penises, anuses, etc? Nooo...they want to control what everyone does with their penises, anuses, etc. They seem to be obsessed with penises and anuses and what everyone's doing with them. I bet Pat has to pray real hard to keep penis and anus images from popping in his head. On top of that, they think that if two men have consentual sex in their bedroom in Kansas City, God's gonna smite the whole friggin' nation. |

That jackass prays for some awful shit sometimes. Now he's praying for the death of supreme court justices. It is for the good of the nation though. You know some fag in Texas is responsible for the hurricane hitting the coast right now. Imagine how god will bless the nation after he kills those fag loving justices and Pat et al. are instrumental in having good god-fearing conservatives appointed.

I guess Pat Robertson doesn't believe in all that free will, non-interference crap that god is supposed to adhere to.
Out of all of them, Pat bothers me the most mainly because he can say the evilest things with pure hate, but yet has that whiny smirk of a smile. Good thing there isn't a god following Pat's pleas for violence and hatred... |

What really pisses me off about these people is that they seem utterly incapable of imagining a union between two men that doesn't involve anal intercourse. Are they really so sexually unimaginative??? Pay attention ye Christians everywhere: sodomy is not the defining characteristic of homosexuality! (After all, plenty of heterosexuals indulge in it.) Falling emotionally and, yes, sexually in love with someone of the same sex is what makes you homosexual, but there is no rule that says a penis has to go anywhere near an anus, let alone enter it.:banghead: |
