Default Clementine Recognitions?

What's a good (online or hard copy) source to read more about this topic? I have found

http://www.ccel.org/fathers2/ANF-08/....htm#TopOfPage

http://bible.crosswalk.com/History/A...ineLiterature/

Peter doesn't seem to have a section on the Recognitions in his www.earlychristianwritings.com , although there are scattered references to them in other sections. Is this because they are not early enough or not Christian enough?

Not early enough. The place for any discussion of the Pseudo-Clementines is in the section on the Kerygmata Petrou, which is a reconstructed source typically dated c. 200 CE.

I would suggest starting your research on the Pseudo-Clementines with the two-volume New Testament Apocrypha, since you will want to own it for a dozen other reasons besides.

best,
Peter Kirby
