From a Xian perspective I would suggest that Christmas is more anti-Xian and Halloween ever was. Christmas is all about consumption, (atleast in its modern incarnation) gluttony and greed.

LOL! And what is Halloween, then?

Stan: You know, I've really learned something today. Halloween isn't about costumes, or candy. It's about being good to one another, and giving and loving.

Kyle: No, dude, that's Christmas.

Stan: Oh, then, what's Halloween about?

Kyle: Costumes and candy.

Stan: Oh.

Question

Quote:
Excerpt: "Many people are surprised when they learn that Halloween is one of the biggest events of the year, evangelistically speaking.

As an alternative to turning out the lights on that questionable night, tens of thousands of committed Christians take the battle in hand to deliver millions of gospel tracts to the children who come to their homes."
Gee, and me and my wife were planning on handing out candy bars. I wonder what would happen to my house if I handed out freethinker tracts to the kiddies?

Even though I grew up in a rural Southern environment, I never received a damned Chick tract instead of a candy bar. A bit of fruit or some crummy candy was as bad as it got. Perhaps kids do have it harder these days than I did.

According to the show “The History of Christmas” It was originally Christmas (1700’s) that was a drunken, dress up in costumes and trick or treat type holiday. The church hated it and some fanatics moved to the USA to escape the drunken brawl. It was only in the last 100 years or so that the church even approved of Christmas.

and Happy Holloween!!!!!!
