I like the argument, "how can we come from a single cell (humans from bacteria)? It's just impossible."
I guess a zygote isn't considered a cell.
Well if i said that, which i probably will at one stage or another, i would probably be referring to the pluripotency of a bacteria cell when compared with a human zygote

Did you tell him about the whole concept of "thermal contact"? Or what about heat generation?

Some people are just...
stupid.

Don't even try to do that unless you are considerably more informed about the meanings of the words you use. Human zygotes are totipotent, as are bacterial cells. I don't think that pluripotency/totipotency mean quite what you think they do.

Who's Albert Costello?

He's referring to Abbott and Costello a comdey team from the 1940's and 1950's and specifically to their classic routine "Who's on first" I found a transcript here.

There's an MP3 version here.(Second item in the right hand column)

Didn't Descartes argue that 'God is perfect, to be perfect you have to exist, therefore God exists'? It's pretty damn lame whoever argued it.

I think those that need to be ashamed are those that slavishly live off his words and view him as some sort of ID guru.

Moderation is not the problem reading his material. It is the dangerous combination of arrogance, ignorance and obfuscation.

Pointed out that heat is still being generated. (I think that thread is going to be topped for a while)

They're merely gullible. Not the ones coming up with the truly bad arguments (in most cases)

I was talking about anything on ARN in general.

The weakest argument,

"If you just accept Jesus in your heart, then you'd think like me."

"No death before the fall."

The first time I heard this argument, I asked "you mean no beetles were stepped on by the large grazers (including all dinos), no ants were on the blades of grass that were eaten by these grazers, and the plankton grazers were able to seperate the phytoplankton(sp) from the zoo plankton?"

Needless to say, the person who made that argument has not made it since.
