Well first of all McLaren is driving the old car as well. Secondly, with the old rules we could compare the relative speeds of cars/drivers. With the new rules we do not quite know how much fuel everyone has on board.

Qualifying was boring though. Same thing over and over again.
I didn't see it, but let me ask you: do you find Quali generally boring or did you mean this particular one?

And is it just me, or does Kimi's interviews bring anyone else to the point of hysterical laughter?
No. Why? Do you mean the accent (btw, I always loved when Mikka gave an interview in Finnish, it's such a cool but utterly incomprehensible language) or what he actually says?

Qualifying was too neat and tidy. Before, drivers' times were affected by other cars getting in the way - it added to the excitement. We miss out on the last few minutes scrapping between Montoya and Schumacher! Also, if the second half of qualifying on the Saturday is a washout, the race will start with all the faster drivers at the back which could be dangerous. Teams picking the right few minutes during the hour to get their cars out also added to the drama - especially when they got it wrong.

As for Kimi, it's his accent along with his strange way of speaking that makes me laugh. He seems so timid. I almost expect him to be holding a teddy bear during his interviews.

You are so very right. Those pole fights used to make the qualifying session exciting till the end.

I do not see that as a big problem as there have been many dangerous starts in the past under the old rules. We had this situation today as well where Schumacher caused the pileup at the very start.

Yes, I saw the press conference today and you are right. I haven't noticed it before.

By the way, I congratulate Kimmi on his first Grand Prix victory and the fine racing.

As far as M. Schumacher I hardly see him dominating this season. He is (in)famous for making mistakes under pressure. So in order not to have too much pressure towards the end of the season he would need at least a 30 point lead by mid season. And I do not see this as being very likely right now.

7 Points ahead isn't as good as 30... but even so, he's leading the championship and that's good.

How do the rest of you think the season is going?
