What do you guys think?
Will Ferrari dominate the whole season? I surely hope they won't and that McLaren and/or Williams will be able to pull even as far as car performance/reliability goes. How will the rules changes for this year affect the championship. UMoC |

I voted Michael Schumacher. The new rules will cause a few minor problems for him, but he should win quite easily. One thing I don't like is the points system. The difference between 1st and 2nd is too small. Less incentive for the 2nd placed guy to go all-for-broke and win the race.

Schumacher is so great, he can win driving a Ferrari. I remember Jean Alesi leading every race in that car and it would always blow up on him. Schumacher is as good as Senna, that of course, being as good as it gets. I remember Schumacher in his first race. I don't think his car started. It was a real disappointment. I think he got over it.

I voted MS. I would've voted for Kimi but he drives for McLaren and I f****** hate McLaren.

As long as his car stays in one piece for the rest of the season, Michael Schumacher will win it, easily. He was a second ahead in qualifying with the OLD car...
Qualifying was boring though. Same thing over and over again. And is it just me, or does Kimi's interviews bring anyone else to the point of hysterical laughter? ![]() |

One thing I like about the new point system is that is gives points to first eight instead of first six. That will make racing more interesting for mid-field teams. Reliability - a problem with F1 for quite a while - will also benefit from this change I think. UMoC |

The new points system is a bugger, I'll admit. It's also been adopted by the WRC. The system has clearly been devised by the FIA to try and break Ferrari and Peugeot's strangleholds on their respective series.

Now if he had won the Championship in a 1996 Ferrari I'd be impressed. Quote:
Remember the dismal 1996 season? Quote:
Senna always had competitive teammates. Who does Schumi have? Eddie Irvine and Rubens Barrichello for crying out load. And even they had to slow down if they were ahaed of MS. Quote:

You know, I've hated McLaren for so long I've forgotten. It stretches back to at least the late '80's or early '90's.
Probably has something to do with me being a tifosi and McLaren's domination of the series back then. |
