Why is it any different?
A simple question. Why is xtianity different from any other religion? Irriputable evidence? Angel sightings, miracles, near-death experiences? Every religion has them. How about the bible? Its the word of god eh? Well practically every other religion's holy texts were written, or were inspired by, or are the word of the diety. How is xtianity any different? <img src="confused.gif" border="0">

No difference, all religions have the same role to play in their respective cultures.
Anachronisms from a simpler, more primitive age. |

Well, it's different because unlike all the rest of them, this one is true. I mean, really true, not just "let's delude ourselves" true. Cos it says so in the Bible. Which is the inerrant word of God. And God wouldn't lie cos it says so in the Bible.

Imagine a picture of a graveyard. There are headstones saying, "Mohammed", "Buddha", "Joseph Smith" and even "Darwin". In the forefront of the picture is one grave, open, and the headstone says "Jesus".
This was in a children's book I read long ago, about why Christianity is different from other religions (its founder prowls the night in search of blood, apparently). |

QoS!
Also, Churchianity is a much bigger target in the West. The words "fish" and "barrel" come to mind. |

Christianity seems to be the "default" setting for a lot of people in the United States; most people will assume you're Christian without even asking, unless, for example, you're wearing about fifty-five pentagrams, or are wearing a large shirt that says, "GOD IS DEAD." It seems to be a lot like most people assuming someone is straight unless he or she specifically tells them otherwise.
It irritates me (especially because most people think worse of you if you make fun of Christianity than anything else). I sometimes wish people had a little switch I could push to "Non-believer" just for a day, so they could see what it's like. -Perchance. |

They would go on a rampage. Raping and killing, and all that evil stuff that people with no moral foundation do. It would be anarchy. Mayhem I say.
