Default What does being saved mean?

What does being saved mean?

An emotive decision to embrace pauline/christianity as myth of choice.

Well if you were gonna answer yourself, why bother posting?

Well to be honest, b/c I thought it would get your attention.

There have been several threads recently wherein good points were made, by myself and others, that refuted things you had said. Up until that point, you were quite involved in the thread, then-poof! You vanished, only to show up in a new thread and start anew.

My question is this: do you debate until you have no good reasons left, then move onto something new? I honestly not trying to be an a--hole, but this is exactly how you, and others, have come across to me. Is your purpose a legitimate search for truth, a submission of your views to reason and logic? Or do you do this for mental excercise? If you come here to evangelize, bailing out when the heat is on only serves to make you beliefs look weak.

If you choose to, I would like to dialogue concerning the issues that you seem to have "bailed out" on in the past. Perhaps I'm am misinterpreting your actions. I would welcome the opportunity to discuss with you a number of religious issues. If you're responsive, I can petition the admins to change the name of this thread.

I think he posts until he reaches a certian level of negative feedback.
I think it is obvious that it is hard for Christians to post here. Especially if you come across as an evangelical/fundamentalist. If you say things that you feel are normal sentiments you get recieved with derision. If a bunch of Christians are sitting around pondering why God created Man, and someone says "I think he created man out of love." People aren't going to snicker and think he is a weenie. So I think it may be disconcerting. Christians that post here have to have a more sophisticated approach. It is also common for them to be liberals. I'm not saying I have it down pat either. I also don't think Christians should modify their theology to appear more suave. Maybe no one here does that but I think it could happen over time. It is easier to be a Universalist that doesn't hold to inerrancy here, and having Liberal social views is a bonus also.

Default [moderator hat on]

It's very difficult having a thread directed one specific person - when you're on the receiving end, it feels like you're being bombarded and it's hard to know where to start.

While I'd love to see Magus answer some of the questions others have posed to him, I don't think that opening a thread specifically for this purpose is necessary.
