Richard Carrier and the Big Bang
Hello...I hope this is the right forum for this. Has anybody read Richard Carrier's article on the big bang? It kind of through me for a loop. If there was no big bang, what was there? How does this affect the debate over the existence of God?

thanks for the links! My biggest question still remains, however: How does this relate to the existence of God debate? Would the end of the Big Bang theory constitute evidence for theism, or would it still be compatible with atheism?

On the other hand, if the Big Bang theory was replaced with concrete, positive, irrefutable evidence for a supernatural creation, then atheism might become obsolete. Note that there would still be doubters about the truth of any particular religion, given nothing but the number of alternative religions that currently exist. |
