Post Other discussion boards?

Anyone surf by any other really good discussion boards lit up by this topic? I was at the Yahoo board and my brains 'bout squirted out of my ears with all the thoughtless typing going on over there.
Regards
J

You too? I tried to keep up with them yesterday.. between the ignorance, and Yahoo losing my posts (which were long, which I didn't copy of course), I gave up.

Thumbs up

I'm a new member of an artist's board and they are discussing it like rational adults, nearly everyone is in favor of the ruling, some, in fact, are showing themselves to be atheists & agnostics. There is one dissenter (I think) so far, from Georgia. Her only comment was "America... love it or leave it." She was promptly pounced upon.

I dropped by a Christian board I used to post at, and there were a few topics lit up about it. There were a few who agreed with the ruling, but most were your typical Kristian taliban responses.

Yahoo!

I don't know why I even bother going over there. I was on at least one of those topics within hours after the decision was announced on Wednesday, but left after about 40 minutes and 5 or 6 posts. It simply wasn't worth the time to attempt to rebut all the drivel being spouted there. To be sure, there were several supporters, but many, many more drive-by dissenters...

I've been fighting on Christian webboards I like to troll. Suffice it to say I've made VERY little headway.

I've been looking at the local board at (WARNING: THESE FORUMS ARE IN ALABAMA, PROCEED AT YOUR OWN RISK): http://www.al.com/forums/politics

Pretty moronic stuff, but it is always awful in there. So far one of my posts hasn't had too many idiotic posts. Here's what I asked:

Quote:
Hey, I'd like to ask people to look at this question with an open mind and answer it honestly:

Would you be upset if schools had children stand and say the following before class:

"I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation under no God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."

I know I'd be upset.
As long as they don't know I'm an atheist, I figured it wouldn't hurt by trying to trick them into thinking
