Truth is relative in the absolute sense. But in the human sense, in our realm of perception and understanding of it, its absolute.

Midway between relativist and provisional-objectivist. Or "Truth is Beauty".

I'm generally an empirically-minded subjectivist (certainly subjective w.r.t. ethics), myself.

Truth is absolute, I believe.

As to whether people can recognize it, however, is a matter I am not so sure of.

Perhaps you might want to establish the criterion for truth and pose a discussion regarding if truth can even be known or not first?

TrVtH is absolute.

We can't ever be sure we know any, though.

What aspect of "truth" are we discussing? What kind of "truth?"

The word is as contested as any word regarding its meaning.

Truth can mean what one perceives or it can represent a fact established with no reason for doubt like the rising of the sun or the force of gravity.

I am not trying to be factituous here. I understand what your getting at.

For me, Truth is what is it regardless of our perceptions on the matter at hand. Evolution is a biological 'truth' that one wold be hard pressed to deny. When it comes to less clear cut empirical details like the realm of ethics and the like i am a subjectivist that agress that certain commonalities can be referenced across cultural and historical lines. So, i can agree on certain "objective" standards of truth on a provisional basis.

Does this make any sense?
