Cool We Are "The Other People"

Have any of you here read Oberon Zell's story of the visiting Jehovah's Witnesses to whom he explained that he didn't need any salvation since he wasn't tainted by "original sin" due to the fact that he was one of The Other People? This is a serious rant on his part, and I, for one, have always enjoyed it. Its real cute, too.

By the way, at the time he wrote the above article, he was in a triad marriage (with two wives; this is a pagan custom), and one of his wives walked in on the gathering buck naked.

I'd love to, but the link doesn't work and typing the address in the OPEN box doesn't seem to work either.

Question

Read it, loved it. I love CAW to begin with, even if they are weird...

ok, using their logic...

Does that mean if you have any semetic blood you have original sin? And how would you know?

With the way of the world creating mutts, I would think even 'the other people' would become tainted... according to Y. Not nec. according to the other deities, however.

And what happens if you convert? do you lose/gain orginial sin?

but, then, is orignial sin more like Tara's demon half? Just a way to 'keep them down at the farm?' and not real at all?

(yes, I am trying to stick in the framework. Please, no one comment on how silly the belief is, ok?)

I've been to nude beaches and didn't mind being nude in front of others, so I guess I must be one of "The Other People" as well.

Dammit. Wouldn't work.

Did Zell really say that? Why didn't the believers merely point out that that would have worked until Noah's flood wiped everyone out? That means all who live and breathe today are full blooded Semites...

Forget using that one on door to doors...

If challenged, I'd bet Zell would argue that the flood wasn't really world-wide after all (and it wasn't; the REAL flood only created the modern day Black Sea); or that if it was world-wide, it happened so long ago that it didn't make any difference to humanity (of which there weren't any until very recently). Zell is a Pagan, not a YEC!

Oh, I know that Zell isn't. But if you are using that biblical arguement against evangelists, it would not work. They do believe in a world wide flood.

I am under the impression that the Black Sea flood is more a 'fit the facts to the story' idea--- than a legitimate theory--- but I am getting the idea that mosts people here would not agree with that. What makes it legitimate to you?

Wink

JWs are not Trinitarians, so of course they were defenseless against Zell's misinterpretation fo Scripture.

Of course you can do what Christians do.

Gleefully point to scripture to make your case about being part of the "other people" and then ignore it regarding the flood or insist on using scientific evidence to show that the flood must be a parable or a localised event.

Use scripture were it suits you and reject it where it doesn't!

That oughta drive 'em mad!
