Default Eye Design Book

Check out this site:

http://www.eyedesignbook.com/ch1/contentsch1.html

Combines:

1) A rather thorough listing of types of eyes, complete with lots of illustrations (many scanned from books it appears and not otherwise online)

2) Apparently a pro-ID viewpoint although this is not very clear

3) Some weird mistakes (trilobites extinct 200,000 years ago?)

I think the author is an optics engineer or something. It is a bit bizzarre that someone can read several articles by Dan Nilsson and yet be an IDists wrt the eye...

The guys a kook alright, and obviously optically fixated. The normal reasons given for insects not growing larger and larger has nothing to do with their eyes. Actually on re-reading the part about why insects haven't conquered the Earth, a position which is arguably untrue in itself, his answer doesn't even relate to eyes it seems to simply be, surprisingly, 'goddidit'.
