I'm no biologist. In fact, I'm a Gymnasium student who sleeps through monday morning biology. But I imagine there must be a great deal of glands and such involved in the activity of sleep; It's probably more complicated than a switch in the brain that either points to "Awake/Deteriorate" or "Sleep/Repair". I'll go out on a limb here and assume this; Please, if I'm wrong, save me further embarrassment and correct me. So, were these functions already present when God coaxed humanity out of dirt? If so, wasn't God a bit of an ass to assume (or be fully aware of, considering omniscience) humanity's fall like that? And if they weren't present, how did they spontaneously pop up after the fall? Did God do some post-fall tinkering in Adam and Eve's innards without them noticing? It must have happened pretty quickly; After all, a (fallen) human can survive only so long without sleep before being driven insane. Wait, hold on a minute . . . |

I have respect for the supernatural beliefs of nonliterate cultures, though not of course greater respect than for Rome and Greece. And these cultures tend to believe that dreams are experiences of supernaturalism. This assumption is a great counter to Chad's worry about taking time away from conscious contemplation of the gods. The gods may well consider certain dreams to be a form of worship of them, and one that is not affected in the least by today's trend toward disbelief and irreligion
Why, just last week I dreamed about Piers Anthony's Proton-and-Phaze trilogy, and I'm still trying to figure out what it means and work it into my life. |

Any clearer for you, now? By inference you appear to be accusing me of claiming that the universe formed itself. If that is the case, please show me where I have made this claim. |
