I, um, get paid to stand in front of cameras.

This may indicate why I don't do much posting in the upper fora.

Once I get too old to keep this job up, though, I'm gonna go get a physics degree. Promise.

I'm an improvisational comedian working with a troupe that performs every Friday at a restaraunt/brewery in Marinette.

My first time on stage should be 11 July! I can't wait!

Currently I'm a dishwasher, but soon I'll be a welfare recipient or perhaps a bottle picker. I had higher aspirations but they are currently evaporating before my eyes.

I was raised a JW and was strongly discouraged from going to college--they are (rightly) afraid it would lead to loss of faith. More than anything else, I resent what the JWs did to me on that account.

So I had to get my education on my own throught books and on the job. My love of science and technology helped wean me away from religion and provided me with the opportunity to do some interesting things including design of components for the Mars Lander and space shuttle experiments.

These days I mostly do software development.

I was just noticing the wide array of activities I am involved in, cmon, you don't see a football player, wrestler , computer programmer, medical science summer honors student, and farm worker all rolled into one very often :-)

Music can be philosophical. I sometimes enjoy postmodern music. It is a little strange, and I have to read the explanation about it, but it is really interesting.

I guess I was more wondering how many liberal arts majors are there among atheists? Writers, musicians, artists, -type people? Thanks to livius drusus for the thread he (or she?) posted about college majors. I am a bit scared though. I might end up living in a shack made of philosophy textbooks.

However, it does seem atheists have a disproportionate amount of scientists and logicians. I have an aptitude for math and sciences and I do okay in English. But I like philosophy because it really makes you think. My teacher lately introduced me to postmodernism. It seems that you have to know a lot about literature, arts, and culture to get this one. Let's just say I never had a background in arts with both my parents being scientists, but I am willing to dedicate some time studying it, because I personally find the contents of Continental philosophy very profound. I also notice that most atheist-philosophers tend towards the Analytic tradition, i.e. the logic/math guys.
This is why I was wondering if there are any atheists with a more artistic background.

BTW, the Continental and Analytic traditions are the two major movements in contemporary philosophy, just for those of you who don't know.
