It's just not for me.
And this is not purely a religious thing. I'll never be a suporter of a specific soccerteam, decorating my house with related trinkets, dressing my baby (if we had one) in tiny teamcolours, chanting the clubsong along.

I'm not the anthom singing type either by the way. But when push comes to shove I might sing along, to avoid being frowned upon (I'm weak I know )
On that note, how are your Italian neighbors?

Mar
the chances of them singing a generic pop song in church are slim...
Now I must be off to decorate my house in assorted trinkets, dress my child in Raider gear while chanting their club song all the while getting ready to go sing and worship at my church...but on my way I will stop to say the pledge of allegiance and the national anthem with my Italian Neighbors...
Thanks for asking!

Greetings:

The 'memory of me' isn't the same thing--at all--as a 'part of me'. Saying that 'a part of us lives on after death', because 'we are remembered', is--at best--sloppy thinking.

The 'memory' of me is a part of someone else; it is a component of the concsiousness that is doing the remembering--NOT a componenent of the thing being remembered.

Just because some people remember me after I'm dead, in no way means that 'a part of me' 'lives' after my death.

Keith.

You're right Keith. An "aspect of me", would've been a better choice of words. Since I do try to put effort in the formulation of my ten answers, I'll keep that in mind. English is not my maiden tongue, but I'm doing my best.

Infinity is an interesting topic, but lets not dwell on it too much. Otherwise we would become as nutty as this guy

It's more of a notion I got playfull with, and I don't lean on it as heavily as I did at the time of writing the O.p..

The main thing is my life's philosophy, revolving around those ten Q&A's. I think there's actually some valuable thoughts, and interresting insights in there.
