Default The True Story of Noah's Ark

Let me start this as a new thread.

Well, how about this for starters? You'll be glad to know that it's been checked for scientific accuracy by Ken Ham, who recommends it as a wonderful gift for your unsaved friends.
If you want a real laugh look at the following page by Ken Ham on the book in question:

Isn't it wonderful? Creationism is never going to go away when it's such a lovely little money-spinner.

I only see one "kind" of dinosaur.

I am always thrilled to learn how like-minded creationists have been influenced by the AiG ministry.
Quote:
I was asked to be involved in the book’s editing to ensure biblical and scientific accuracy, and to help produce a superior work.
Need to make a choice. One or the other.

As I helped with the book, I kept thinking that it would be a great witnessing tool, whether as a gift to unsaved family and friends or left on a coffee table for visiting guests to thumb through.
Everyone needs light humor reading...

Then I thought it would also make an excellent devotional book for families. I believe the great illustrations (see the samples below) would certainly hold the interest of young people.
Get them while they're young and impressionable, before someone teaches them evil thinking skills.

I see that inside picture, and wonder how many hours it would take before the hull buckles due to lack of support.

Quote:
Nearly all people groups have a similar flood story in their history. To get an accurate account, we must go to the original source where it was recorded at the outset—the Bible. Here, the account doesn’t begin with ‘once upon a time,’ because it isn’t a fable or work of fiction.
Ah, so that's how you weed out fact from fiction...

Quote:
After the last timber had gone into place, then it must have started. It was like someone turned a switch and every animal that had come to the Ark responded. They slowly began moving to the Ark … by the thousands they came. Put yourself there and imagine.
The tool of believing...imagination.

Quote:
Noah, his family, and all the animals were settling in. The noise level must have been deafening as all the animals raised their voices—could this be their way of rejoicing over their deliverance from what was to come?
Could have also been the tigers and t-rexs rejoicing at a cornered free meal.

Quote:
Only one detail was left—the door of the Ark...
And CO2 buildup began....

Haha, that was quoted from me . I did answer it with a yes myself . What I want to know is this: Why do they have to stick so close to a literal genesis, etc. to be christian, but there are plenty of others that think they're going to heaven and all that other good stuff without a literal genesis? Are they really that scared of their loving god that they have to take everything literally or they'll burn in hell?

the narrative is true to the biblical record and its timeline of events concerning Noah's flood, with added insight as to what it might have been like in Noah's shoes.
Hmm. would that be divinely inspired insight? Or is it the kind of added insight that is prohibited by the Bible itself?

That big open space has been certified scientifically accurate by Ken Ham, so it must be true.

So not only does AiG fail in producing a reasonable scientific treatise that the Ark could've carried all the species (or kinds) living at the time, they can't even draw a picture of the Ark with all the animals in it.
