At CNN the unconstitutional side is in the mid 20% range, which sounds pretty good for a start.

Now's the time for those contact trees - let everyone you know about it, let them spread the word, etc.

cheers,
Michael

The ACLJ has a story up on their website <a href="http://www.aclj.org/news/pressreleases/020626_pledge.asp" target="_blank">here</a>

Nothing unexpected, just the usual drivel about the pledge being what America is about blah blah blah

Wow. I step away from my computer for the afternoon, and this juicy story pops up. Cool!

The bigger picture is that even if it gets overturned, this provides the Secular community a golden opportunity to be heard.

Curiously, I just checked BB, Xian forums, and CARM, and it doesn't look like they've caught on to this yet...

Talk Balk Live is FUBAR'd.

"If the atheist who brought this up really hated God, then he wouldn't be accepting a paycheque with the words 'In God We Trust' on the back of the money."

Christ.

When's the next boat to England?

I feel sick. It has turned into atheist bashing.

I voted twice! (Two computers)

So what Darwin's Finch said goes double for me!

Still, we're losing ground in the voting. Amazing. This doesn't even seem like a difficult decision to me. Can hardly believe the gov't even fought it.

Too many threads on this! I originally posted this in the wrong one:

The aforementioned Fox News poll asks [and the CNN poll asks something similar]:
"Do you agree with the federal appeals court ruling that the Pledge of Allegiance, with the words "under God," is unconstitutional? "

I'm not sure this is an accurate assessment of the ruling. I thought the ruling was directed primarily at the forced recitation of the pledge in its current form.

And does someone have a link to the entire text of the ruling?
