I can`t listen since they don`t support streaming for Macintosh.

The current apple commercials about being able to do everything on a Mac are pure bullshit. This is just another of MANY times the internet has left me and my Mac out in the cold.

Are you on MacOS 9 or MacOS X? And what are you having trouble with?

The main thing I have trouble is certain AVI's -- which I can play in VirtualPeeCee.

Also, RealPlayer works, but only in Classic (I have OSX running full time). But Windows Media Player is now OSX-native.

Were you able to listen to the radio stream posted above? I tried,but a window popped up telling me they don`t support streaming for mac.

I`m still on OS 9 and conitnue to have trouble with certain AVI`s,missing Real Player codec`s,and seem to be missing a vast assortment of new and unknown media players being used all over the internet.

I haven`t gone to X yet because I have a lot of stuff in this Mac and don`t really like the idea of partitioning my drive to run both X and 9 (classic).
I was actually playing with the idea of buying X just the other day ,but what stopped me was the hassle of all the prep work I`d have to do.

Is X really that much better?

Unsigned ActiveX controls, no way to tell what site is being accessed for the stream. I have all that crap turned off out of self-defense. Blame it on pop-ups.

Did you read why they do not support Mac OS (or Linux, or Solaris, or any Unix)? They have software that can automate removing the radio ads, since AFTRA does not permit them to rebroadcast radio spots over the Internet. But they do not know how to replace those radio spots with Internet spots that will work on anything but Windows.

In other words, it's not Apple's fault, it's a deliberate decision by the radio station to deliver only Windows users to their Internet advertisers.

(You do realize that in radio and TV, you are the product the stations are selling, right? They just decided not to keep any Mac users in their inventory.)
