Post Burnin' Satan's Handiwork

Let me be the first to say that I strongly disapprove of this activity: <a href="http://www.cnn.com/2001/US/12/31/potter.book.burning.ap/index.html" target="_blank">Burnin’ Harry’s Books</a>

AC/DC rocks ! To have their albums burned saddens me greatly. I would’ve taken ‘em off their hands.

And burning Shakespeare? Is "thrice and once the hedgepig whined" too much for them?

You're absolutely right. I don't think they know the meaning of "thrice and once the hedgepig whined", so they concluded it must have originated from Satan. On the other hand, AC/DC just comes out and says, "I'm on the highway to hell!", leaving no doubt as to their loyalty to Beelzebub. If only Shakespeare could have been more clear in articulating his devotion to Lucifer, many more of his books could have been destroyed over the centuries.

Never mind. JK Rowling gets the royalties whether they read them or burn them.

If they have another book burning next week, will they go all go out and buy some more books to burn?

As I've stated before; People who burn books will eventually burn people. These religious groups are the true evil in the world.

Isn't Shakesperae supposed to have been a bit of a closet Catholic? I bet they don't like that.

Yeah, I’m not nearly as concerned with people who rape children and commit cold-blooded murder as I am with people who are dumb enough to burn music and literature. Get too close to that bonfire and my hair could ignite. I’d be stuck with a bald head. Ohh… Shudder to think such thoughts.

He had to be and took the challenge upon himself to write religious satires against the Church of England while being remembered for them as a hero. If any protestant of those days, and even today, really understood what he wrote they would have quartered him then and would still censor him today. Then as now, his plays make protestants literally wallow in their own mire.

MacBeth, for example, is to be compared with Coriolanus. MacBeth is a Senecan tragedy that takes place in England while Coriolanus is a Divine comedy that takes place in Rome. These two are the most opposite to each other (as far as I know) and surprisingly MacBeth was never popular in France while Coriolanus was never popular in England. This means that the proof is in the pudding twice.

You really are a dimwit, but than again you are a theist so that is to be expected.

They're no different than a certain group of "good Christians" in Europe around the mid to late 1930's who started off by burn books.

They are just following the lead of other great minds who have burned or approved of burning books.... Hitler, Stalin, Castro, PO Pot, Bin Laden, Robertson, Falwell.
