Koy!

Thank you for the intellegent discussion. Your last coment said it all. To that end, speaking in tonges does not exist, therefore, why are you even talking about it?

With all due respect, your post reminds me of the basketball fan who says MJ stinks, yet never played the game. So if you have never had the experience, how can you speak (or teach for that matter) with any authority? You can't.

Truth is Subjectivity!

I've never jumped from an airplane at an altitude of 5000 meters without a parachute, but I think I can probably speak with reasonable authority on the likely conclusion of such an act.

cheers,
Michael

Again, you have read too much into the word "bias." I did not mean that their statements are "unduly corrupted." I meant that their stance intristically assumes a lack of credibility on the part of Padre Pio and people who report on him. There is nothing in the word bias that automatically means unwarranted.

Furthermore, my assertion is not that AA is biased against theism per se, but rather that they are biased against theistically-based claims.

I'm sorry, but your ending comment implied that the information you provided should be primarily if not summarily dismissed based entirely upon an implied detrimental and therefore conclusion altering bias that is not in evidence and it was to that that I was responding.
It is not my fault you misread my statement. If you had asked for clarification, I might have been inclined to adjust my wording. Instead, you immediately engaged in a personal attack, so I feel little remorse in having offended your sensibilities.

Next time, don't unduly slander people you're quoting from and I wouldn't have to come to their defense.
Please. It's not as though I'm writing here for your benefit.

Since I think you're making a mountain out of a molehill, I will once again reiterate: by bias, I in no way mean that their bias is unwarranted; rather, the organization is inherently inclined to disregard the claims of witness as delusion or pious fraud. Are you satisfied now, Koy?

"Personal attack?"

Now who is reading into things?

Please accept my apology. It was to the defense of the AA that I was posting. I didn't mean for it to be a personal attack.

Mike!

Unless you've survived to tell about it, your argument is like the coach/teacher who never played the game. About as credible as apriori logic.

PS, Logic does not solve the basic problem of verifying assertions behind propostions; for that we need some other tool. And God's tool is bigger than your tool. I know, I've seen his tool!

You're welcome.

You're coming the closest to speaking in tongues so far or that you live in implication?

I wasn't.

Does it, now? How so?

What are you talking about?

Well, finally a coherent declarative. Funny it would come from a theist, yes, who, it would be assumed, believes in a God who, by existing, mandates objectivity...?

You really should get to know Amos.

Well, I couldn't see any other way to interpret the whole "yes, we atheists are out to destroy the truth" post.

Apology accepted. Try not to bite people's heads off if you have a semantic issue with what they've said next time, okay?
