Default need book advice

A few months ago (I think) I saw a program on Discovery channel about Jesus the person and historical facts of his life, for example the political motives of his going to a certain city and so forth.

I was wondering if anyone knows any good books on the topic because history and religion interest me (though I am atheist) and I'd like to think I know something on the topic.

thanx

Why don't you go to the BC&A forum. They would better answer your question, given many regulars' expertise on the subject of ancient Christian history and the historical context of the gospel texts.
