12 steps plan how to become an atheist?
Let’s try together to create a plan how to become an atheist. It can be similar to plans how to quit drinking or overcome anger, etc.

That could well convince one of the non-existence of the God of the bible, but not gods in general. Step 3: Question everything. Accept nothing on "faith". |

I haven't the slightest where this would fall number-wise in the steps but I think fairly close to the top...
Learn the basics (at least) of logic and critical thinking. |

I think step 4 and the modified step 2 could be combined. Learn about the world's religions, their origins, and their sacred texts.
