Thumbs down Billy Graham answers questions about Satan, evolution etc.

How can the Bible be correct about the world being created in six days?

Quote:

Many Christians become troubled when they read the creation account in the Bible and then listen to the ideas of evolutionists. The Bible, of course, asserts that God created the universe and everything in it. Evolutionists, on the other hand, usually leave God completely out and assume that everything "just happened."

How can I effectively resist Satan when he attacks me?

Quote:

Whenever we feel attacked by forces of darkness, we can put James 4:7 into practice. This says: "Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." Our greatest defense against Satan is a right relationship with God through the application of Christ's sin-atoning blood to our hearts.

If you had a very big telescope, could you see Heaven?

Quote:

The Bible tells us that Heaven is a definite place...Heaven is also outside this universe, and isn't a part of it. Perhaps Heaven even exists in a whole different dimension -- a spiritual dimension.

More

Isn't it sad that an ignorant, racist old man like Graham is a close friend of every living president and considered a "beloved" citizen while lots of scientists and others who actually accomplish things are forgotten? It's absolutely outrageous! Hardly anyone (except for folks like us) notices when someone like Carl Sagan dies, but when Graham croaks it will be front page news for a week in every corner of the globe and I'm sure that Bush will attend the funeral.

And what, exactly, has Graham "accomplished" during his career? He's spread superstition, told frightening stories about Hell, and even attacked evolution (making our country look foolish and backwards).

Yet according to the media he's a "great" man who should be honored and loved by all. It makes me sick.

I've never paid that much attention to him, I think he came to Britain once to hold one of those disgusting healing events but apart from that I don't know much about him except he's a sandwich short of a picnic.

All I can say is if the jews control the media I doubt Billy would be as popular!!!

He'd be ridiculed in our media eventually, most religious type wackos usually are just ask David Icke!!!

Some quotes from that site:

Quote:
"It is important to note that there can be no real conflict between the facts of the Bible and the facts of science, since God was the Author of both."
I've always wondered if that's not the reason fundies are so crazy.I mean,if you look up,and the sky's blue, but your religion has to believe it's green, something going to eventually snap.

That's a direct application, mind, you. Not some kind of topical cream.Jesus blood can be purchased from any fine Christian store.Accept no substitutes.

Quote:
We submit ourselves to God by confessing to Him any known sin in our lives
This is the guy who'se supposed to know everything, right?I mean can you imagine the dialogue:

Joe Worshipper:"Okay, god,I coveted my neighbor's wife. She's pretty hot."

God:"I knew that."

Joe Worshipper:"And,I lied a few times."

God:"Know that too."

Joe Worshipper:"Okay,I also masturbated twenty times this week."

God:"I know that as well.Hell,I even watched!"

Joe Worshipper:"Well,then.This was pretty pointless"

God:"Yup"

Quote:
-- and He loves you, and wants you to give your life to Him. He loves you so much that He came down from Heaven in the person of Jesus to give His life for you. Ask Him to come into your life today -- and then some day you will go to be with Him in Heaven forever.
Ex 22:24
And my wrath shall wax hot, and I will kill you with the sword; and your wives shall be widows, and your children fatherless.

Huzzah!Praise the lord!He loves us.

Evolution ... does ... not ... take ... supernatural ... deities ... out ... of ... the ... picture.

Maybe if I type that really slow they will understand. It could be the case the God used evolution as the mechanism for creating the diversity of life. Evolution does not even attempt to answer any questions about the existence of a deity. The reason they assume that all this happened naturally is because we cannot assume the supernatural until there is evidence for the supernatural.

If science conflicts with religion, chances are it is a good time to reconsider your religion.

-edit because it took me a whole day to realize I put the wrong graemlin up there.

I'm sure that Bush will attend the funeral.

You can bet on it. GWB Jr. credits a quite strole with Billy for helping to turn his life around and become the person he is today. Frightening!

It's true!

Here's an excerpt from Bush's book where he talks about his decision to "accept" Christ:

Quote:
"Actually, the seeds of my decision had been planted the year before, by the Reverend Billy Graham. He visited my family for a summer weekend in Maine. I saw him preach at the small summer church, St. Ann’s by the Sea. We all had lunch on the patio overlooking the ocean. One evening my dad asked Bill to answer questions from a big group of family gathered for the weekend. He sat by the fire and talked. And what he said sparked a change in my heart. I don’t remember the exact words. It was more the power of his example. The Lord was so clearly reflected in his gentle and loving demeanor. The next day we walked and talked at Walker’s Point, and I knew I was in the presence of a great man. He was like a magnet; I felt drawn to seek something different. He didn’t lecture or admonish; he shared warmth and concern. Billy Graham didn’t make you feel guilty; he made you feel loved. Over the course of that weekend, Reverend Graham planted a mustard seed in my soul, a seed that grew over the next year. He led me to the path, and I began walking. And it was the beginning of a change in my life. I had always been a religious person, had regularly attended church, even taught Sunday school and served as an altar boy. But that weekend my faith took on a new meaning. It was the beginning of a new walk where I would recommit my heart to Jesus Christ. I was humbled to learn that God sent His Son to die for a sinner like me. I was comforted to know that through the Son, I could find God’s amazing grace, a grace that crosses every border, every barrier and is open to everyone. Through the love of Christ’s life, I could understand the life-changing powers of faith."
