Sex abuse will continue to be a problem until people stop deluding themselves like this:

"We are going through this terrible thing... But you just have to take it out of your mind and pray that God will help them from straying."

It seems that some people's connection to the church is so strong that no amount of evil in it can make them question the institution itself, or its claims. How do they get so brainwashed?

Laws calling for the posting of the Ten Commandments in public buildings: feel-good, do-nothing legislation.
