Prayer as solution to clergy pedophilia?
Sex abuse will continue to be a problem until people stop deluding themselves like this:
"We are going through this terrible thing... But you just have to take it out of your mind and pray that God will help them from straying." "take it out of your mind and pray"?!? Has that worked so far?? All together now... Quote taken from this article on the current state of things in the Catholic Church. It seems that some people's connection to the church is so strong that no amount of evil in it can make them question the institution itself, or its claims. How do they get so brainwashed? -Wanderer |

Yeah, sure. Keep praying. See what a good job it's done preventing murderers, rapists, thieves, war, famine, etc., etc. ...

Wow, I think I just made a connection.
Prayer: a feel-good, do-nothing activity. Laws calling for the posting of the Ten Commandments in public buildings: feel-good, do-nothing legislation. Things that make you go Hmmm... |

Useless prayer is a better response than Maggie Gallagher's knee-jerk reaction. Confusing homosexuality and pedophila in the best conservative manner, Maggie says:
