Question from end of Pascals Wager Post
Simple question: when have atheists EVER been the killers of Christians, instead of vice-versa? That very comment lost you all chance in my eyes of being seen as a logical debater of pro-abortion.

Sure some communists also happened to be atheist in addition, but they didn't go around, crusading and killing in the name of atheism.

Communists killed in the name of political ideology, and it was not because someone was religious, it was because they viewed that religion as a threat to the state. In communism, arguably, the state becomes their 'God' in certain ways.

Also, pointing out who used their religion to justify murder is arguing the special case, no matter who does the killing and in whose or what's name. Furthermore, this thread isn't about EoG. I'm moving it to GRD, just in case a serious discussion develops. Otherwise, I wouldn't be surprised if it ended up ~~Elsewhere~~. d |

And oddly enough - Christians shouldn't be the ones killing in the name of religion. Jesus taught peace and love for your neighbor, never killing. Christians don't generally follow the old testament, Jews do - so why don't you hear of Jews killing in the name of religion? You don't - therefore its illogical to blame the Crusades or other events like them on Christianity. Even some proclaimed Christians don't follow Jesus and do evil things - but its hardly even a minority. |
