Post Change Satans' nickname

This is too funny. Maybe it should be over in the Humor forum.

Devil's Lake, ND is about 60 miles west of Grand Forks along Hwy 2 (Yea, yeah, I know... "Where the fuck is Grand Forks?").

(Superintendent Steve Swiontek) says the nickname is "not positive," and has led some students to attend school elsewhere.
Like, where? Winnipeg, Mannitoba? Devil's Lake is halfway along a line between Winnipeg and Bismarck, ND. If that ain't the ass-end of nowhere, I don't know what is.

I went to school at UND in Grand Forks. Folks told me that a more accurate translation from the Sioux language would be "Spirit Lake" rather than "Devil's Lake".

So maybe change it to Spirit Lake & call them the Angels?

Remember, Ski North Dakota!

I think it should be changed to "Sacred lake stolen by the white man for no reason other than to ream the Sioux"

LOL You guys are so funny.

Amazing how quickly they change it when it involves demons, but not when it's the Redskins or the Indians or some bullshit like that.
