Well I suppose it could be applied to much of the Intelligent Design movement in what they claim they want to do. But of course they know damn well that there are a couple of obstacles, one of them being the fact that they need evidence before the scientific community is going to accept their ideas.
It was easier for Lysenko, all he had to do was to convince Stalin and it would happen. I think Dubya is a creationist, but he doesn't have that sort of power. In fact Bush can't even command that creationistm or ID Theory be taught in American public school science classrooms, even though I'll bet he wished he could, and even though that was always the only aim of the creationist movement, and the only aim of the ID movement right now. |
