Talking Ventura proclamation angers Minnesota fundies

Gov. Jesse Ventura, who has drawn heat throughout his term for refusing to declare an official day of prayer in Minnesota, angered Republicans and a conservative interest group Wednesday by granting a request for Minnesota atheists and declaring today Indivisible Day.

In the language preceding the official proclamation, Ventura, well-known for his criticisms of organized religion, invokes President James Madison and makes a six-point case for separation of church and state.

Ventura sounds like an good guy, even if I don't agree with some of his policies I would certainly be prepared to vote for him (Assuming I had any sort of right to!)

How long has he got in the job? What are his re-election chances?

Gov. Ventura has already announced that he will not be running for re-election. He cited a desire to remove his family from the public spotlight as one reason behind his decision.

And if he had run for re-election, it is doubtful that he would have won. A lot of people really hate that man.

I always knew I liked Jesse. Maybe he can move a bit south and be the Governor here
