1) AMOS 9-14-15 is taken out on context. It is an end time judgment prophecy. If you read in 9:11 “all the sinners of my people shall die by the sword, who say, “The calamity shall not overtake or confront us.” Also the “sinful kingdom” whatever that is, will be destroyed from the face of the earth PRIOR to all this. Of course if Israel should ever fail to be a nation, the prophecy goes out the window. 2) Ezekiel 37 :10-14 This was originally believed to mean God would bring the dead back to life, however the bodily resurrection had lost a lot of favor, so a new meaning had to be conjured up. This prophecy was meant to bring back the 2 separate kingdoms of the monarchy. Read verse 17ff about the sticks. Also included in this prophecy was that when they all got together, David, shall be KING over all of them. Difficult to see that happening in an elected government. 3) Isaiah 66:7-8 This is about a woman named Zion who was barren and how now given birth as a sign from the Lord. Zionism was named after her, not vice-versa. This is a case of people attempting to fulfill a prophecy that didn’t really exist. |
