Debate workshop at the ICR
The latest issue of the ICR's newsletter "Acts and Facts"( http://www.icr.org/pubs/af/pdf/af0203.pdf ) contains an article about a "debate workshop" held at the ICR on Jan. 19.
Here are a couple of excerpts that I found amusing (please unplug your irony-meters before reading on): "While all of us debate sometimes, Duane has debated over 350 times, and seemingly has "won" them all." "But he can't do it alone, or forever. Thus ICR desired to train others to take the message even further, and hosted Duane in a "debate workshop" to equip many for battle. Throughout the grueling 8-hour session, he taught how to prepare, how to choose a question to be resoluved, details of the main arguments, how to answer evolutionists "dirty tricks", and how to keep from being sidetracked by peripheral issues." LOL, wow. 8 hours to learn how to lie effectively and charismatically? That's a little longer than I'd think ICR would need.
