Default I do not for a fact know

If man evolved, but I do know for a fact that the ancient writers of the bible did not have archaeological skills and much knowledge of the earth.

First of all the ancient writers of the bible believed that the eart was flat not round as we know from NASA.

If the earth was created by GOD he probably would have told us the truth in the bible.

I do not know for a fact that man evolved, but evolution is more credible than a God that tells us lies until we find out the truth.

If you want to know more about GODS Flat earth and more anomolies visit this site

http://web2.iadfw.net/capella/aguide/

The bottom left on The bibles flat eath solid sky dome.

This is not my site I just found it and it shocked me enough to conclude that the bible is not credible.

Not a bad site, Mark. Most if not all of it has been discussed many times in this forum and others on this site.

In return, I’ll give you one:

The Talk.Origins Archive is a collection of articles and essays, most of which have appeared in talk.origins at one time or another. The primary reason for this archive's existence is to provide "origins/welcome.html" scientific responses to the many frequently asked questions (FAQs) and frequently rebutted assertions that appear in the talk.origins newsgroup.

Welcome to II!

PS: We did indeed evolve and are continuing to do so.

Default It sure looks that way

The bible in my opinion lacks credibility, especially when I really read what it really says being an ex-christian after I read the truth.

I don't like taking such info off of websites. I find it much more credible from one's own research. Besides, there are many more tidbits of falliable Bible if you read it all.

Just a nitpick, but:

"First of all the ancient writers of the bible believed that the eart was flat not round as we know from NASA."

NASA definately did not inform us of this. We were quite aware the Earth was round before we started shooting things out of the atmosphere.

Zadok001: "We were quite aware the Earth was round before we started shooting things out of the atmosphere."
Very true. The ancient Egyptians and Greeks knew this, because of the way a ship sinks below the horizon instead of simply dwindling forever. Also, one of the Greeks (I forget his name) derived the radius of the earth by measuring the length of his stick's shadow on a certain date, and the length of his sticks shadow on the same date in a different place, and applying some Three-Sided Measures (known to you and me as trigonometry).

I'll also pitch in with another site: http://www.skepticsannotatedbible.com/
Enjoy!

Default Jimmy

I researched and came to that conclusion.

His points takes a lot of thinking to understand and I know that he only uses NRSV translation, but since I do not know how to understand hebrew or greek or have a copy of the originals.

I have to go with what he says and check in my copy of the nrsv translation and kjv to see if they are correct and similar.

And they are.

Aristotle also showed the Earth was round based on lunar eclipses.
