News Item - Parents refuse medicine for son
I found <a href="http://www.stuff.co.nz/inl/index/0,1008,1225889a10,FF.html" target="_blank">this story</a> this morning. It's sad, isn't it?
I'm just glad the parents were convicted (not geing vengeful, or anything). HR |

It's very sad when religious negligence kills an innocent child . The conviction is definitely deserved, religion is no excuse for what is essentially murder. Isnt this kind of thing still legal in some of the U.S., though? I know some states have made it illegal, but not sure how many.

That's really a shame, that a perfectly good kid could be... well, starved, really... by his parents, and they refuse him medicine because "God" will heal him if he wishes.
Message to all Christians: Stop eating and drinking. At all. If God wants you to not die of malnutrition/starvation/dehydration, he will keep you alive. Good luck! |

Aargh! When will these stupid people get it through their stupid heads that their stupid prayers are no substitute for medicine? <img src="graemlins/banghead.gif" border="0" alt="[Bang Head]" /> <img src="graemlins/banghead.gif" border="0" alt="[Bang Head]" /> <img src="graemlins/banghead.gif" border="0" alt="[Bang Head]" /> <img src="graemlins/banghead.gif" border="0" alt="[Bang Head]" /> <img src="graemlins/banghead.gif" border="0" alt="[Bang Head]" />

This pisses me off so much that I'm going to be mean, crude, and obnoxious:
