Talking Score one for the Muslim in Washington!

It was great. It was awesome. I still chuckle when I think about it. I was rolling on the floor after it happened.

The Michael Medved Show, a whacky and ignorant conservative show that airs on Christian radio stations across the nation, had a muslim guest on Thursday, I can not recall the man's name. In any case, Medved was the jerk that he always is, (amazing how christians think that you can be rude in a polite manner), and at one point the muslim guest brought up how an American endangered the US, Timothy McVeigh. Having the point made, Medved decided to turn the discussion and not have to answer to that. He said (approximately),
Quote:
Well Timothy McVeigh is burning in hell now.
And then the muslim guest calmly responded quickly,(approximately)
Quote:
Well we don't know that. God could have forgiven him.
It was the three seconds of silence that you don't hear often from Christians in an argument or debate. It was the sweetest sound of all time. Medved was beaten right there and he couldn't refute it at all. He had no where to go.

Score one for the muslim.

I'm sorry if most other people don't get the enjoyment out of this as I do. I just thought it was the most funny thing all day.

I like it.

Not only that, but if Medved dies and goes to Heaven, not only will he meet McVeigh, but he will embrace McVeigh and be overjoyed to see him, insofar as any of the Saved will be overjoyed at anything and everything in Heaven.

How is that for poetic justice? Too bad it won't happen, of course.

Michael Medved is a orthodox Jew who has a complete love of all that is christain. On most things he is pretty mellow, but on muslims and particularly atheist he really harsh. He had Ellen Johnson on and spent 2 hours ridiculing her. He had real fun with the AA emblem. Sometimes he is a real jerk, but what conservative talk show guy isn't?

He tries to appear real nice and polite. He says, "and I agree with you there" all the time, but then explains how his guest is always wrong. And heaven forbid he have a wrong opinion. He loves to say to those who call in harsher treatment on the Saudi's with "Wanna get rid of your car?" I'd love to call in and reply, "Well, I drive the Honda hybrid."

But its that condenscending attitude where they are all soft spoken, but their attitude is see through. In Akron, we've got a guy on WNIR and he always finishes his call by saying something like, "And thanks for your kind words." But these guys don't mean it. I really dislike such behavior.

Jimmy, don't you understand they are better than you? You are confused with your un-conservative world view. You have been brainwashed by the liberal media. GW Bush has a mandate to govern - God chose him. Once you understand that you are wrong about everything you will see that these conservative talkshow hosts are gentile creatures. Let them make up your mind for you.

You know, I find it amazing that this is absolutely true, atleast in their own minds. It amazes me, how every view I have is wrong, from the environment to conservation to foreign policy to sports to anything in politics. I'm wrong on it all. I love Limbaugh, he seems to think it is a great liberal conspiracy to increase the amount of government. That we have no good intentions at all. That and everything wrong in the universe is linked to Clinton. He still criticizes Clinton for not doing anything about bin Laden, but still insists that his bombing of Afghanistan was a "Wag the Dog" thing to get attention off of that "huge" scandel of oral sex in the oval office. Oh and Bush isn't a blabbering idiot. I don't know which thing I'm wrong about more?

Perhaps its because I was raised in Taxachusetts.

Red face

You know, what's scary is that this:
Quote:
GW Bush has a mandate to govern - God chose him.
was funny, but people actually believe it. Just like the Japanese (and the ancient Egyptians) used to believe that their monarchs were of divine origin. It's scary that these types of myth prevail throughout history. Haven't we grown past this primitive type of belief?

As if Mr. G. had fixed the 2000 Presidential election.

But that would not be far removed from fixing football games, as Mr. G. allegedly does.
