Smile Unintentional humor in the bible

I am just reading the bible for the first time ad so far I am only part way throught the OT. I have been quite amazed at some of the absurd things in there that have caused me to laugh out loud. Last night I came across one that just about made me fall out of my chair. It was Jeremiah 13. God tells Jeremiah to buy some new underwear (well, loincloth in my NRSV). then God tells him to take off his undies and stick them between some rocks by the Euphrates. Some time later, God tells him to back and get them. Surprize! Surprize! their ruined and not good for anything. This is supposed to teach him something about the fate of his people.

So, to get the point across to Jeremiah God had to ruin his underwear. I think that's hilarious.

Does anyone else have some choice items that set off your funny bone?

This topic will probably find a better home in the humor forum.
