Post Hostettler Steps In It

Not real sure where this should go.

One of our congressmen let his fundy BS loose on some breast cancer survivors. These ladies were trying to drum up support from congress and for the most part, were successful. Then they met with Hostettler and he preached and lectured them. Read about it here:

Just when I start to think thr Republicans could not stoop any lower...here comes this guy to berate cancer survivors.

What an insensitive moron, why would he mention an abortion/breast cancer connection? Is he insane?

Thumbs down

Oh my, such language Butswana. Try more like 'Hostettler, that offspring of a female K-9, may go have intercorse with himself as far as I'm conerned'. See, much more politicaly correct it is, but still conveys the same basic message in a less vulgar manner.

Hostettler's mother should have had an abortion and kept this SOB away from us. When I showed this to my wife, who is a breast cancer survivor, she ripped off a not-so-nice note to the bastard. If this had been out sooner she could have confronted him personaly. He was in our little town last Sunday spouting his xtian BS to potential voters. I saw a flier about his visit earlier in the week and it said something about him representing the xtians of the state. I stayed away, not needing to let my mouth over load my ass and get arrested.

Gracious me, oh yes!

Besides, he's clearly a prick, not a dick.

A dick would have mentioned that another reason for breast cancer is being a lesbian.

(I don't even know the guy, so who cares what I think? Also, the linked study actually says lesbians have a greater prevalence of risk factors for cancer, but no difference in actual incidence of cancer.)

What is it about the U.S. that encourages this kind of brainless religious radicalism?

It's always surprising and somewhat frightening to me, as a Canadian, to read about these kooks on this board and realize that they are a powerful voice in the superpower on our border. Not that distance really helps or anything.

The fact that a politician who has been canvassing for support as recently as last Sunday would feel confident enough about the reaction, or lack thereof, he can expect from his constituents regarding such a crackpot comment, is exactly what I'm talking about.

What's going on?
