Post Anyone want to have some fun...

...over on the P.O.D. boards. Right now, there are such gems as these:

I've studied what you are talking about for many years. Ask me any question, and I will endeavor to answer it.

Dinosaurs were alive at the time of Noah. Some species may have gone extinct, but for the most part, they were alive and well. Noah could easily have put dinosaurs on the ark by bringing babies, simply a male and a female. It wouldn't be necessary to bring a fully grown Brachiosaurus.

Dinosaurs died out primarily because of the change of climate after the flood. Before the flood the world was much different, much like a greenhouse. Genesis tells us that a mist used to water the earth instead of rain.

Evidence for an old earth is not evidence for Evolution. Evidence for a young earth is evidence against Evolution. Evidence of animals that no longer live is not evidence for Evolution. Evidence of animals going through minor changes is not evidence for Evolution, but adaptation (which is a fact). Evidence for any big bang or creation of the universe theory is not evidence for Evolution.

The occasional discovery of some fossils that don't match up entirely with a current creature are not necessarily evidence for Evolution. In fact, it is far more logical to assume they are evidence of something else. Examples are genetic mutation, extinct species, adaptation variation, etc. It's also possible that the fossils have been tainted by either being crushed, sanded-down, or fossilized with other substances. Some barbarians used to mold the shapes of their babies' heads while they were still young and soft, and this is quite possibly an answer for the few occasional fossils that might not seem to be entirely human.

Artists drawings of supposed cavemen are not evidence for Evolution, yet they now adorn school hallways, textbooks, museums, and research centers. These drawings are the imaginations of an artist, based losely on reality.

Skeletons made out of plaster are not evidence for Evolution. The discovery of "Lucy" several years ago amazed much of the world, for they sat in awe of the pictures of a full-sized supposedly "ancient human." In reality, most of that skeleton was constructed of plaster by scientists who were guessing at what they think the skeleton would look like if it were whole. One of the scientists who worked on the excavation claimed that nobody could really know what it was, human, non-human, male, female, etc.

Anyway, this thread isn't about Evolution, so I'll stop for now. Just want to help show people that there are Christians who truly study Evolutionary theory, and still reject it.

P.S. I've even heard some of the new biochemical theories, although I still agree with non-Christian Michael Behe, who wrote a book refuting Evolution on the biochemical level. (Darwin's Black Box). posted by Arctic Fox
from this thread.

This goes on all the time over there as there is a shortage of skeptics who are competent in the sciences to refute it.

Moderation is light even though it is a predominantly though not exclusively Christian board.

Here's the url of their religion forum if anyone wants to come over and play: THE WORLD IS A GHETTO. The board is dedicated to the Christian music group Payable On Death but has a very active forum on religion where this spewing forth of junk goes on almost constantly.

Did anyone else notice what their priorities seem to be? The link bar at the top goes
-Explanation (so's you'll trust us)
-Sponsors (people who give us money so you'll give them money)
-Buy our services (ka-ching!)
-Store (give us your money)
-Resources (I assume this is the meat of the page?)
-Kids (let us indoctrinate them!!)
-Events (let us indoctrinate you!!)
etc.

[edited to clarify that I'm talking about reasons.org which is one of the links from a post in the thread linked above - sorry, to get off topic, it just bugged me]

Kung Food Fighting here,
So this is why there was a sudden influx of evolution supporters. I thought something strange was going on.

I really don't know how much there will be to do for all of ya, seeing as evo/creation debates aren't really that common at the POD board. On average it seems someone posts an evolution topic about once or twice a week. The vast majority of posts seem to be angsty teens wondering if what they are doing is a sin, or requests for prayer to help some trivial problems in their lives (ie there was a thread titled "pray that I get a girlfreind").

It will be nice to have some company though.

I signed on and sent one post. We'll see. There are a few real nitwits that might be fun for a while.
