Perusing the X2 boards at the Internet Movie Database, I came across this gem of a thread. I have to admit, it's quite a bit of fun watching the fur fly. It starts out as a discussion of Nightcrawler, Catholics and evolution; progresses to quite a few straw men of evolution, the rebuttals to which are conveniently ignored; moves on to a discussion of a global flood; and finally, we get touchdown, with one particularly persistent fundy claiming that the Bible is the divine truth... because it claims to be!

I'm laughing my ass off at some of these people. Any of you infidels participating, by chance?

What I don't get is this:

That's the first time I ever saw somebody trying to prove the bible by citing . . . the bible. No, I haven't been frequenting religion discussions all that much.

I feel a burning need to wash out my eyes with battery acid.
