Default Leaders of his own church ask Bush to repent

Well, more of the telling strange days we live in that you probably won't hear in the mainstream. Some Methodist leaders of GW's proclaimed version of xianity have asked GW to repent based on acts that do not support xian values and even more horrendous policies towords the down and out at home. If he is supposed to live by Jesus' teachings, he really is making so hard for other Christians to see they resort to this.

Methodist leaders ask Bush to repent

So is he a real Christian? I don't know much on the issue except that he is bad for all humanity (except the Kenny Lay's) in general.

WorldNutDaily, huh?

Tooley himself does not speak for the whole of the UMC--the United Methodist committee he directs is not a church-sponsored committee. The IRD is a conservative group that tries to influence mainline churches to act in a conservative manner--Tooley is the director of the committee that focuses on the UMC.

So I would hardly call Tooley a leader of the UMC. He is a member of an unoffical UMC organization that promotes conservative interpretation of church rules and life.

Here are links from the UMC News Service that deal with Tooley, they can help you get a feel of the offical church and also their interactions with Tooley.

Worldnut was the original from the article's reprinting on www.Truthout.org.

Tooley is not one of the Methodists denouncing Bush, he is the one supporting him.

Haha, you're right--I'm actually busy at work today, so my posts are on the fly. Apparently, my reading comprehension skills have seen better days!

I think my brain went off on some tangent, because Tooley was being quoted so much. Hmmm.
