Post The Bible as a Source of Names

We are probably all aware how many common boys names derive from the Bible, like Simon, Paul, and King James, but it is also the source of a surprising number of girls names too. For instance, were you aware that the following girly names also come from the Bible?

Ruth Rendel
Dot (The year it begins at)
Jezebel (Abraham's favourite cow)
Lassie (Noah's wife - only when Sean Connory is Noah)
Crystal (Lot's wife)
Queenie Sheba
Jonah Varc
Beth-Lee Hem
Psalm

There must be loads of others. Are you named after a fictional character too? I'm not. My real name is Gaelic for stench.

Nope. I'm named after my dad. I'm pretty sure he's real, though is definitely a character.
