Talking The Eternal Blues

I was wondering why people love to spend as much time with Vanderzyden as they do. And, I have drawn blansk left and right until...

We miss Eternal. Good lord, I miss him. Vanderzyden has become our Eternal "fix". I think we need to rid ourselves of this addiction. I mean, it's only a matter of time before we move on to harder, more potent creationist, like Ken Ham or Hovind as our fixes. I shudder to think of the day when we invite one of their ilk here...

I'm moving this thread to secular lifestyles and support. . . because I do feel that this is a valid question and point but I don't want to turn it into a "make fun of people" thread.

Why do we spend so much time arguing with creationists and/or theists?

I spend time because it upsets me to see people who ARE educated believe the dogma and propaganda of YECs. I want people to accept science for what it is - a useful tool for understanding ourselves - so that maybe, just maybe, someday we can solve our deepest and most fundamental problems.

I am of course an eternal optimist (but not very optimistic for eternal I must say!)
