Clarification needed. I do not doubt that the belief itself is genuine, I am talking about the object of the belief. Apologies for not making myself clear.

Surely the "truth" would have been blindingly clear by now? Surely no genuine god would allow its presence and its requirements to be something that was actually open to debate? Especially if people's eternal future was at stake?

If a god wants to be worshipped, and that god is the path to eternal salvation/paradise/happiness, it needs to make its presence known, otherwise many people are going to miss out on worshipping it, and they are going to miss out on gaining eternal salvation/paradise/happiness.

And I hereby declare all genuine gold to be made of tin. Tin is now illegal to own, please take to your local "queen of this world and next" recycling center.

You need to provide evidence to support this declaration. My own declaration was made on the strength of current available evidence.

If you want to void my declaration you will need to address the issues that support it.

It may be a good idea to avoid making baseless declarations of your own by way of refutation, because you will lose credibility, which will be most disadvantageous when you finally come round to addressing the issues that I have raised.
