Post India marvels at miracle Jesus bread

<a href="http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/south_asia/2484195.stm" target="_blank">http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/south_asia/2484195.stm</a>

Quote:
Hundreds of Christian pilgrims and other curious onlookers have been making their way to a church in Bangalore in India to see a chapati (a loaf of unleavened bread) which has the image of Christ burnt into it.
Quote:
Church officials say nearly 20,000 Christians have already visited the Renewal Retreat Centre to pay homage in front of the chapati, which has now been mounted in a glass case, and to offer prayers.

Father Jacob George of the Renewal Retreat Centre is convinced it is a miracle.

This one looks better than the one in the older thread. At least the deity doesn't look like the deformed guy from Goonies in this one.

He looks like some 1960's hippie.

We can place that alongside the Virgin Mary in a tree trunk, an Islamic slogan in a tomato, and so forth.

Since no-one knows what Jesus looked like, how are we to know that the image or any of the other images burned into tacos or whatever over history are of him?
Just a question

Did you see the current issue of Popular Mechanics?
I dont think the article is online but here is the cover:

I thumbed through it, apparently some people are trying to use technology and research to reconstruct the face of Jesus.

I thought PM was somewhat respectable

The Jesus bread: It looks like John Lennon when he let all his hair grow

What is the theological explanation for these wonderful manifestations? Anything more substantial than "the Lord works in mysterious ways"?

Does the deity want to teach humility by having his followers bow down to a piece of bread or yet another tortilla? Rather effective, I'd say, you can't help but be humiliated!
