Why is it that yguy brings pedophilia into every single discussion we have here? Very strange,

i'll guess (without reading the previous posts) that he's trying to hit on a moral common ground on this forum.

You could look at it that way. As I see it, the same rationalizations that were used to legitimize other deviant behaviors can be used to legitimize pedophilia, so it will always have some degree of relevance to a discussion about sexual morality with those who are biased in the direction of libertinism.

In this particular case, of course, I was only quoting what seems to me a more objective view of Kinsey's credibility.

And who are the Kinseys of today? Will we again have to wait thirty years to find out we've been had?

Hardly. There is a big difference between something like pedophilia and homosexuality. Homosexuality involves two consenting adults behind closed doors. Pedophilia involves a non-consenting, non-adult.

It seems to me that the main reason people should have premarital sex is that otherwise they will have no sex at all.

Marriage: the way to end a perfectly good sex life.

I haven't said otherwise, of course.

Y'know, I'm assuming this was meant in a light-hearted way, but you've touched one of my pet peeves; the social acceptance of the idea that people stop liking sex after they marry. Where does this *come* from?

Here's an interesting article relevant to the discussion:

NIC card actually fixed Roadrunner. Surprised me all to hell.

Back again. This is a very busy thread. Last posts very interesting.

A couple things

1--------------the grass is always greener as they say ---so temptation will always be there. But even though that cute little secretary with a nice asss and uplifting breasts may turn a guy on in ways his taken for granted (too tired to do it) wife hasn't for years ---------it means nothing at all as far as any long term relationship. (And, of course the vice versa side is just as true)---

But there is #2 ----------Which may explain somewhat why all those polls showing other populations are more sexually satisfied no matter what differing conditions of so-called "morality" they have .----------

-------WE-----meaning the general US population--- are seriously materialistic and seriously OVERWORKED compared to the rest of the world. We have a whole of population of married couples trying to have a satisfying sexual relationship when both are so tired and stressed out at the end of the day they just want to fall into bed and go to sleep.

This is certainly anecdotal, but I think true. Take a nice leisurely stress-free vacation----pay attention to each other--and you will find (I am almost sure) that that sexually boring husband or wife will become an insatiable sex bomb. And you will remember why you got married in the first place. And that cute thing (male or female) on the "greener side" will lose all of its allure.
