Some hours ago, when I left to do some work (some people have to), people seemed to be returning to talking in a serious matter. I come back to find that that serious conversation has almost totally come to a stand still and there are four pages of material I won't put an adjective to. (But I do recommend for anyone proud of their handiwork to go back and find much of anything you would want ot reread.)
I'm happy that people are learning to stretch their linguistic skills -- average native English speakers normally have so few (do you want to know more?) -- but I would have thought this was not the forum to do so. This is supposed to be dealing moral issues I'm sorry to anyone who has actually made the effort to say intelligent things while I was away, but what I've seen of these last four pages doesn't recommend a re-skimming. This sort of behaviour doesn't seem to happen on the other forums I keep up with. I'm getting more to think that the analogy with Jeffrey Dahmer is better than I thought especially interpreted as the "critics" do. |

Koyaanisqatsi:
I'm going to have to go with Pompous Bastard on this one. While we cannot completely rule out plant consciousness, all of the evidence seems to indicate that it does not exist. |

Spin:
What qualitative input does your post add to "serious conversation?" It just comes across as pointless whining. |

---------------- What qualitative input does your post add to "serious conversation?" It just comes across as pointless whining. ---------------- I allow myself the right to make an observation. There was no pointless whining involved. You are in no position to make such a judgement. And, incidentally, you are simply wrong. |
