An appropriate companion statue might be a 250 foot tall dipiction of the burning of a witch or heretic.

He was quoted in a rare interview some time ago as saying that if he had known that his wife wouldn't convert to Catholicism after their marriage, he would never have married her. I've driven past the 190 foot tall cross in Groom, Texas. I was relocating my belongings from Atlanta, Georgia to Tucson, Arizona. Having already driven down the I20/I10 route twice, I wanted to try something different, and elected the more northern route, using I40. I had no idea such a thing existed, and as a result had the giggles for miles afterwards. Tackiest damn thing I've seen in years. If I were a Christian, I would be offended at how tacky it is.
If anyone happens to be in the area it is certainly worth a drive-by just for the amusement value. |

Here's an update on Tom's folly. It's been derailed - sorta.
